One the first records I purchased in my youth at Musicland. Remember that store? My mom allowed me one album. After numerous parental advisory objections she finally allowed me to buy this diamond in the rough. I was going for all the heavys like Deep Purple. And I decided on this because it didn’t have dudes with long hair on the cover. The cover looked cool with the freight train guitar. I still remember the range of emotions I had for each song. Barry’s soul, Aretha, then Alice!? Just total overload for a kid that knew nothing about these artists! Every song on this got me interested in each genre. But the real deal was Paranoid! That song became an addiction. I’ll always connect my love for heavy metal forever with this album because of that song. Of course at that age you can’t take care of fragile records. So it eventually got scratched to death. Every now and again I would think of this record until I became obsessed about finding it again. I’m so happy now! Fantastic condition for such an old classic relic! Rock on everyone!
