Negative reviews about this product do not make any sense. Yes it DOES fit in a standard marina outlet.Needed a replacement for a cord and this was exactly what I was looking for at a great price. This was a replacement for a burned Marinco connector. Checked around online and this was the lowest price for the same connector. Shipped quickly!I made a new 25' cable with a SmartPlug at the boat connection. This will be used to get the twist connection away from the boat. These twist connection plugs are prone to overheating! I can now use my old 50' twist connection cord to reach 75' when I'm away from my homeport dock.Is designed to tolerate the marine weather = salt + water, but NOT WATER PROOF. Has nickle plated brass contacts to resist the salty air , but costs $60 - $100, compared to same plug that is not tolerant of the salt = has brass contacts without nickle plating for $20-25. Much too expensive for what it is. To increase rail/dew resistance a cover or boot is required = ADDITIONAL $20 - 25. Begs for quality made competitive products.Bought this to replace the (unnamed) orange plug that had been installed for 2.5 years. I already had the outlet sitting in a spare parts locker on the boat. Was simple to install and it works quite well. Price was very good, compared to other dealers, and less than the orange plug.Fit the cable, easy to install, fit under the rain shield on the power pedestal.I like the fact that the posts are colored to fit the color of the wire. So there's no guessing about the port the wire is tied to.This is not a normal marina/yachtclub plug. It would not fit in any available power pedestal receptical as the pattern of the pins and guides did not match the marina power pedestal nor was it the same as the plugs on several neighboring boat's power cords. The opinion suggested by our neighbors was that the plug provided was probably made to fit a piece of industrial machinery like a generator. Please provide a proper replacement ASAP.Used to make a shorter 30A marine electrical cord. Instructions are a little vague in terms of length of cover versus length of bare wires but one can figure it out. Need to be careful cutting the unneeded fabric insulation away from the end of the cord where the new plug is to be installed.Used to connect from boat to deck power. No problem even in torrential rains30 amp 125 volt shore power cord needed a new male plug. The new Marinco Plug works great!Schnelle Zustellung, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis , einfach zu montieren
