Sealed Power L-2482F40 High Performance Forged Piston Kit - Compatible with Chevy, Ford, Dodge Engines - Perfect for Engine Rebuilds & Performance Upgrades

I ordered this part because my dumb mechanic lost one piece after he balanced the rotating assembly. Summit & Jegs sell this part for only $38 but since they were backordered with a delivery date as far as Feb 2010, I decided to get this piston here for about triple the MSRP. When I received it, the p/n turned to be L2482-40 and not the advertised p/n L2482F40 which means it was of the old discontinued design, with a lathe holding piece left-over on the top, and it did not come with the special black coat on the skirts. Yet, it is forged, and the weights match closely. There was a dent on the top edge, and the seller sent me a shipping label for return/exchange, which I appreciate, but it was too late for me.
